Yes. Anyone joining a Table must create a SmartCheck account before participating.
SmartCheck may offer a limited number of free AI scans and may also offer optional paid scan packs. Manual mode remains available and does not consume scans.

Clear images improve automatic extraction accuracy.
Yes. You can take a photo using your phone’s camera app, crop or adjust it, and upload it from your gallery inside SmartCheck. This can sometimes improve extraction results.
Receipt formats vary widely, and OCR/AI extraction is not perfect. Common reasons for incorrect extraction:
You can always manually edit items, prices, quantities, tax, or tip before finalizing the Table.
Yes. Receipt images are stored securely in cloud storage and are used to build your shared Table. They remain visible to participants in that Table.
A scan is a credit used for eligible AI receipt extraction flows in SmartCheck. If free or paid scans are available on your account, SmartCheck may use one scan after a successful eligible AI receipt extraction.
A scan is generally consumed only after a successful eligible AI receipt extraction. If extraction fails or you use manual mode, a scan is generally not consumed.
If AI extraction fails, is unusable, or you decide to continue in manual mode, a scan is generally not consumed.
Yes. Manual mode remains available and does not consume scans.
If scan packs are available in your region and app version, yes. SmartCheck may offer optional paid scan packs that add scans to your account.
Purchases may be processed by the platform where you downloaded the app, such as Google Play. SmartCheck may verify a purchase before granting scans to your account.
If offered in the Service, paid scans do not expire unless the app explicitly says otherwise.
Refund requests and purchase disputes may be handled according to the policies of the platform through which you purchased them, such as Google Play.
There may be a short delay while the purchase is being verified. If your scans do not appear after a reasonable time, contact support.
No. Scans are linked to your SmartCheck account and are not transferable.
No. Scans are digital app credits and have no cash value.
When you create a Table, you can share the invite link with others. Anyone with the link can join after creating a SmartCheck account.
No. Tables are accessible only through invite links. SmartCheck does not provide public search or discovery for Tables.
When a Table is closed:
Closed Tables can be reopened if they were marked as incomplete.
If a Table marked as incomplete is reopened:
Reopening allows participants to fix or adjust the split.
If a participant deletes their account:
This preserves collaboration history for other members.
If the owner deletes their account while a Table is open:
This avoids ownership conflicts and keeps data consistent.

Currently, email and display name are not editable after account creation.
You can delete your account in two ways:
